In October 1975, registered builder Ken Paulsen established his building company and began trading as KIB Homes. In that time, and up until the late 1980s, KIB constructed mostly brick and tile homes. In 1990, Cedar Homes was created from the garage of Ken’s home. With a growing reputation for building timber-framed homes, Ken moved to an office location in Osborne Park and later to Balcatta, where Cedar Homes trades today.
Today, Ken Paulsen is still at the helm of Cedar Homes as owner/director, while his family operated company has gone on to become one of the best known and most reputable in the specialist market of timber-frame home construction.
As one of WA’s longest established building companies, Cedar Homes delivers a level of service that is rarely found in today’s building industry. Clients enjoy a truly individual and personalised service, and can rest easy knowing their beautiful home has been:
- Designed to meet their requirements
- Constructed of quality materials
- Built by fully qualified and experienced tradespeople
- Constructed within an efficient timeframe – generally 5 – 7 months from site-works. (In some cases 4-month build times have been achieved).
